Perry D. Boulier
Perry has been litigating cases since 1987. He grew up in Spartanburg and graduated from Wofford College (1984) and the University of South Carolina School of Law (1987). After completing law school, Perry returned home to Spartanburg where he has spent his entire career.
During the course of his career, Perry has tried civil cases of almost every variety in state and federal district courts across South Carolina. For his work in the courtroom, Perry has been recognized as a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and as a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates. He has been continuously listed in both Best Lawyers in America and Super Lawyers for many years. He was named Best Lawyers “Lawyer of the Year” for Medical Malpractice Defense in 2011, 2014, 2020, and 2024.
Currently, Perry focuses his practice primarily on healthcare litigation. He represents healthcare systems, physicians, medical practices, and other healthcare providers in professional liability actions, pricing litigation, employment matters, and commercial litigation. He routinely represents healthcare providers before state licensing boards and counsels his healthcare clients on matters of risk management, investigations, policy and procedure, operations, compliance, medical staff issues, and state and federal privacy laws. In addition to his work within the healthcare field, Perry maintains an active commercial litigation practice and has handled and tried numerous business litigation cases to verdict.
Perry is active in his community and has served on several boards. He is also active in his church where he has served in a variety of leadership roles. He married his wife, Jill, in 1984, and they are the proud parents of one daughter, Lauren, who also works in the healthcare field. In his spare time, Perry enjoys running, cycling, golf, and following sports of all types.
